They tended to have them out as part of a display.

They appear to have good security there at night though. ;)

I must have been to Wauchope and the surrounding area a hundred times, but never been to Timbertown I've been to a couple of the old mills in the area.

Nice pics Troy.

We went to Timbertown many many years ago and it was great back then and looks like it has only got better.
Swan Hill, VIC also has a great museum very similar setup to timbertown but it's all to do with the paddlesteamers and farming in the area and is great, we spent two days going though it at Xmas. Kids loved it, must get back up to Wauchope one day for another look.

Been meaning to go there one day.... before it closes, hope not! I missed seeing Old Sydney Town before it closed :(

When I was growing up my parents used to to take me to Australiana Village at wilberforce near Windsor NSW, but it closed due to insurance costs etc....

It is a sad indication of the society we live in that so many of these fun parks are shutting down :|

Yes it is sad that the interest dies down and they close such places.

I LOVED Old Sydney Town so much that when I was young, I wanted to live there. I wanted to live in that time.
Its very sad to see OST now. All run down and over grown :(
