Southern Moreton Bay Islands, Redlands

One thing we have got in the Redlands, is Islands!

Canaipa Point, Russell Island (Karragarra, Lamb and Macleay in the middle of the shot), Redland Bay in the distance. I took this shot out of a helicopter, which we hired to inspect Straddie (which was actually for work!)

Nice shot Troy. Gee it looks really good and makes me just love this place even more. How lucky we are to have all this in our backyard (well a shortish drive anyway lol)

There are some really nice spots on the islands, use to go over there a bit when I worked for the Council, but didn't take many photos. The western side looking out towards straddie is real postcard stuff.

They are starting to get over the negative press of the past.

I go to Macleay Island every year with my golfing group. We often stay in a house called "The Lighthouse" overlooking straddie - the view is just lovely.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt - then it's bloody hilarious!
