I have 2 girls 10 and 12, we are a family. If I want a booze fest my family stays home. Isn't a get together a chance to meet up and have a chat and few beers around a campfire.

I state family in my earlier posts, it was really just a call of interest, think I might just put this one in the too hard basket.

Well, the weathers begininning to become more favourable to camping down here in the more Southern States.
I've seen plans such as these get-togethers drag on for over 12 months without fruition.
In the next 2-4 weeks, I'm planning a weekender either in the Watagans or Chichester Forest (just sth of the Barringtons) with my wife, our 5yo daughter and myself.
What if I were to post the date and location when finalised and whoever turns up turns up ???
I know of sites in both parks that would accomodate up to 10 CT's and both are 2wd friendly.
What do you all think :cheers

That's probably the best way to approach it Steve.

I agree with the Gypsy Girl. Just do it mate. That is what has happened with a lot of our camp oven gatherings.

It's funny...sometimes people just don't like to commit up front but I am sure that if they put themsleves out there a bit then a great time will be had by all.

I am sure you will have a great time either way.....Good Luck Steve.

Thats right, even if nobody shows, it's still a great family outing.
I'm sure that the chosen date won't suit everyone, but there is plenty more oportunity to get out there again should it not suit, besides, anyone can throw open an invite at anytime, so if it's not this time, it'll be another.
