Hi All,

I am a mad camper and would love to find a like minded group to go camping with. I have two little girls (2 1/2 and 12 weeks), a wife and a dog (I can leave the dog at home, but unfortunately the wife is a little harder to leave behind :))

If this trip is still on I'd love to get some more details! Basically I have always been happy to trek off by myself with nothing but a frying pan, a tent and a carton. Since my first daughter was born I've done almost no camping, but went away to Byron this weekend to try it out (with significantly more gear than I would bother with if I was by myself) and everything went really well, if anything, is was a fantastic break for my wife and we are keen to try it again.

My name is Andrew btw.

Hi Andrew and WELCOME to the forum. Whilst I am not the organiser of this camp (Amanda is) I am sure you will find that it is still a happening.

Good to hear that you are coming back to the fold so to speak and I am sure there are many more great camps to be had with your family & even the dog at times.

I personally never leave home to camp without taking my canine girls with me and there are plenty of pet friendly places to camp.

Cheers Gypsy...

It doesn't bother me so much when we're actually camping, it's having to pack everything up wet and then get home and try to dry it all out that's the headache.

Yep...setting up and packing up in the rain is the worst of it...I agree. Think we should just be thankful that there is no wind..it is the wind that I really hate.
