TAS - Seven Mile Beach Caravan Park (Hobart)

We spent two nights at this park with mixed reviews. The park allows dogs, which is why we stayed there to accommodate the Jack Russel travelling with the group, albeit abit out of Hobart.

The office staff were fantastic, really helpful when booking and just as lovely when we met them.

Overall the park was well maintained, again very clean amenities blocks, well equipped laundry and lots of clothes line space. The camp kitchen was a covered area and they even provided some basic cooking condiments such as tomato sauce ! Park was very shady, lots of gum trees around.

The unpowered ‘tent’ area was rather odd and very sandy, it looked a lot like a carpark just next to the front gates. It had been raining so some of the sites were very muddy also. Wouldn’t recommend it.

The powered campsites for the camper trailers were clearly defined gravel sites, this sound fine and were neat & tidy then we tried to hammer the pegs into the ground ! Our camper isn’t huge and only just fit onto the site, even then we were sticking out into the walkway a little bit. The sites we had were better suited to caravans or motorhomes but were ok for short term.

We actually stayed in a cabin here as our daughter was ill (typical child gets sick when on holidays). The cabins were clean, reasonably new & quite large with a kitchen, dining area & living room separate to the bedrooms . Good value for the $100 a night that we paid.

I did notice some campsites along the back perimeter of the park that were grassy and quite large, if we were returning with the camper for any length of time I would be requesting one of these.
