Bago State Forest - Blowering Dam

Bago State Forest - Blowering Dam

Postby Jo&Kev » Fri Jan 01, 2010 9:30 am

Also known as Lake Blowering - located between Batlow (where the apples come from) and Talbingo (where Miles Franklin was born) in Bago State Forest. It is free, pet friendly and very spacious although the facilities are a bit sparse. There were few campers around when we were there - but we noted generators and trail bikes. Maybe not going to be the quietest of nights NYE.

2WD in from Batlow, and Talbingo in dry weather.

Pics and a fuller description on my blog...

Thanks for that review. Good to know it doesn't get that busy. I read some reviews but I try to not go to places with a boat ramp as I do not like the sound of revving engines on the water. ;)

But I would like to check out Paddy's River Dam not far from there one day.
